We have always adopted a single solution approach to our product. We believe this offers the engineer flexibility to consider general infrastructure problems in a variety of ways in one convenient product. The approach differentiates us from other solution providers where separate products are generally required for specific engineering applications.

With LUSAS, whether you are designing a building, an embankment, a dam or a mechanical component, you are working in one environment and one model space. This is important for several reasons:

• Efficiency . Reduced training time is required for engineering teams learning a single product. Master the use of LUSAS for a range of applications.
  
• Quality . Application-specific data does not need to be exported and imported between products. There is no required data exchange and hence no potential for information loss or incompatibility.
  
• Accuracy . For combined systems, one product can accurately model interaction. For instance, if you want to model a bridge interacting with its foundation, LUSAS allows you to create both a detailed structural model and a detailed ground model in one place. Without this approach, data would have to be passed between separate products and the modelling of interaction would be compromised.
  

We believe this approach makes a difference to the flexibility of LUSAS in general engineering problems. If you do not need such flexibility, you can also idealise your structures more simply. Put simply, LUSAS allows you to take many approaches to the same problem and provides you with all the information you require to easily evaluate the merits of each.
